How to go to Ooty from Bangalore ?

By Road ,we have two routes to reach Ooty from Bangalore.

Route 1
Bangalore – Mandya – Mysore –Nanjangud-Gundulpet –Bandipur National Park   – Mudumalai National Park  – Teppakkadu – From Teppakkadu you have two route  (Route1A & Route1B)

Route 1A
Teppakkadu – Masinagudi – Ooty . This route got 36 hairpin bends !! and the shortest to ooty.


Route1B
Teppakkadu – Gudalur – Ooty . This is the normal bus route.


Route 2
Bangalore –Kanakapura-Kollegal-Chamarajnagar-Gundulpet
From Gundulpet  it is the same route –Bandipur National Park – Mudumalai national park – Teppakkadu –Masinagudi or Gulalur - Ooty


What to see on the way ?
Bandipur national Park and Mudumalai  Wildlife Sanctuary ( both are same forest ) . As this come under two state (Karnataka & Tamil Nadu) it got two name.

The drive on this forest is awesome! On the way you can see animals like Elephant , Indian Giant Squirrel, Grey Langurs , Spotted Deer , Peacock ..etc. And During the night this route is closed.

Rose Garden
Doddabetta Peak
Pykara Lake/Boat House
Shooting Sport ( 6/9th mile)

rambling THOUGHTS in a DAY!!

My mobile alarm wake me up @ 5.40 AM , as usual my body refuse to wake up .I have to rush  to catch my morning train @6.50 AM ,need to travel around 170 Km away from where I stand now !! Out side home weather is around 20 °C , the road is wet ,might be raining the whole night .Saw one bus is approaching the bus stop started to run but missed the target .I was thinking did I ran slowly ??Yes, my fitness level is not low but very low now. Got a cab and jumped in .I need to tell about the Cab pickup in Bangalore .This are all Call centre pick up/drop cabs .When they are off they will give you a lift .You need to pay little more than the bus fair .They are the unofficial carriers for early and late commuters like me in the city !! Reached railway station 10 min early, walked straight to the news paper shop, asked for HINDU News paper .Shop keeper checked and replied back HINDU got over!! so my next choice is DNA news paper and bought one more Tamil news paper .By reading the headline
