Place to see near Bangalore – Yelagiri Hills !!
Some time quick plan work best then long plans !! Our trip is one kind of that .We planned the previous night and next day morning we are on the road heading towards YELAGIRI How to get there from Bangalore Yelagiri is around 150Km from Bangalore.Drive towards Hosur on the NH7 . At Krishnagiri take the Chennai road NH46 drive up to Vaniyambadi . Next to Vaniyambadi toll gate (after 2 KM) you will see the signboard 36 KM to Yelagiri.It is a underpass road take you to Tirupathur. 5 KM from there the hill road starts !! Place to see in Yelagiri Punganoor Lake Make sure you start early to reach @ 10 AM , so you can enjoy the boating for 2- 3 hr . We took the pedal boat and I do not want to tell outside it really tested my stamina to pedal the boat J . National Park This 10 acre campus is having a artificial falls , aquarium , Musical fountain ( 2 show @ 7 and 8 PM )and a big landscaping for the kids to run around .This park is really nice and maintained very well .
